We are thrilled to announce that Sintali has won the Green StartUp Award 2022 for London and East of England as part of the StartUp Awards National Series.

Accelerated by the pandemic, 2020 saw more than 770,000 new startups in the UK alone. The StartUp Awards National Series was launched to recognise the booming startup scene.

The award recognises start-ups developing, processes or services that are resulting in significant environmental improvements. With over 2,500 applications received, we were delighted to have been selected as the winner and used the opportunity to spread the message of the importance of green buildings globally.

“We are over the moon to have won the Green Start Up of the Year award,” said Eleni Polychroniadou, Co-Founder of Sintali. “Certification is not typically something people consider, but we believe it’s an important piece of the puzzle and one that desperately needs innovation. As more companies, cities, banks and governments make big sustainability commitments, we have to make sure there are monitoring mechanisms in place to protect everyone from false claims and greenwashing.”

Professor Dylan Jones-Evans OBE, the creator of the StartUp Awards National Series, said: “As we emerge from the economic downturn caused by the recent Covid-19 pandemic, dynamic and hard-working entrepreneurs across every part of the UK will be critical in not only building back the economy, but building it back better.”
