Earlier this year, Sintali was selected to participate in the Innovate UK Global Business Innovation Programme (GBIP) – Urban Systems – Hyderabad & Chennai, India.
The GBIP program aims to explore and exploit the collaboration, growth and innovation opportunities that exist in a specific business market around a specific theme, from Agritech to AI. The GBIP provides detailed market knowledge, introductions and cultural insight that SMEs would find difficult to obtain themselves.
As part of this GBIP, the co-founder of Sintali, Eleni Polychroniadou, visited Hyderabad and Chennai. She presented on the importance of greening every building on this planet, and why environmental verification is an important component of advancing the net zero agenda. She was able to meet with government officials at Telangana State and Tamil Nadu State, leading institutions such as the T-Hub Innovation Centre, the IGBC, IT Madraas, as well as businesses and the British High Commission.
This trip is just the beginning of Sintali’s efforts to grow the green building market in India. By 2030, the real estate industry in India is expected to reach $1 trillion and contribute 13% to India’s GDP. Green buildings will play a key role and Sintali hopes to provide a solution to make it scalable and accessible to all.
